Ask and you shall receive; and make your requests be known
unto God are two promises I base my reference on when I go to the Lord with my
needs. He assured us that whatever it is we desire, we make it known unto him
in prayer and that whatever we pray in the name of Jesus, that we shall
receive. He is a loving father and he will always give you that which you asked
for. He says, no father can give a son a snake when he asked for fish or a stone
when he asked for bread.

How many times do we go before God praying not really sure
what we exactly want. We give God the right to choose what it is he wants for
us. You may be asking God for a fiancĂ©e but you don’t say what you want
exactly. God gave us the right to
choose, when we don’t make a choice on our own, it takes longer for us to
receive our promise. This is because, God will give you time to come up
with what you want or rather to make up your mind totally.
God won’t always give
you what you want just because you want it now, he knows the best time to
release it but you make it difficult for yourself when you are not sure what
you want. Be specific, don’t tell him to give you a promotion, say how much you
want to be promoted to. Don’t ask for a house, say how you want it; describe
it. Don’t just ask for a wife or husband; say how you want him/her to be. Don’t
just ask for a job; say which job you want.
God meets us at our
level of expectations. He told the Israelites that wherever the soles of
your feet shall tread, that shall I give unto you. In other words, you will
receive exactly what you want. When manna dropped from heaven, you could
collect as much as you want. There was no limit of how small or how much you
would take as long as you don’t keep to the following day. He says expand the
place of your tent and lengthen your stakes for you shall expand to the left
and to the right. So the far you expand to is where your expansion will reach.
Being specific makes
you grow spiritually, your faith grows when you are specific and then you
see God fulfilling it. You will be able to walk in faith and even do more exploit.
I don’t want something to happen to me and I don’t know if it is God that did
it for me, or maybe they want something in return. When you know what you asked
for, you will be expecting it and whichever door it comes through, you will
know that it is a parcel straight from God. You shall therefore know your God
and do exploits for his glory.
