The Moment You Almost... - Receiving a Second Chance

No matter what happened, He is God of a second chance...

The worst moments in life are those times when you are right at the edge of doing or getting something that you didn’t expect. Just like the moment you had that he/she was so sick that doctors had run out of options, that there was a road accident and that is the same vehicle your beloved one was riding in, that you were about to be carjacked or that the person you love is seeing someone else… the list never ends but to different people, different things threaten them.

You made a promise you wouldn’t cheat on him but you have been tempted and everything is so irresistible that you are about to betray God and your soul mate. You started slow chatting here and there and flirting feeling it was safe but you didn’t know that it was graduating each day to something else. Then the day comes when the opportunity avails itself unplanned for but then you realize you are so used to each other

that it is not a big deal to you how far you are ready to go…

It is so unbelievable that you are now drinking when your parents spent more time training you to grow in the word of God but friends took a toll on you and now you are in. you are in campus and you now have the freedom to do what you want, your parents are miles away, all you didn’t know is that where you are heading to is far. You might soon start smoking and inhaling hard drugs spoiling your own future since one thing leads to the other…

You slept with a married man and a month later you miss your periods and your parents are having so much hope in you. You remember what you had done a few weeks back and you only had done it for the money he had given you continuously to support you. Your phone rings and it is your mom and you think she already knows what is happening to you through instincts… 

The prodigal son was lured away from his home by his fleshly desires. The devil took advantage of that and soon he was finished to the extent he almost ate with the pigs. The devil is a liar, through our lusts and desires he comes to drive us to walk away from the loving arms of the Lord where we belong to get into the world and do things that we don’t do in our kingdom… the devil’s plan is to finish you totally. The bible says that he only comes to steal, kill and destroy. I thank God for grace, I thank God for Jesus… his loving kindness and mercies will never fail.

The devil really had you surrounded and at times you never even knew but Jesus came and grabbed you, he kept you close. Just before you got worse and cheated on him, something happened and it didn’t work, just before you started going down the drugs way, something happened. Just before you lost hope you received your periods and the suspense was over. You are here today because of his grace; God gave you a second chance. He stopped a lot from happening, some you knew, some you didn’t know… just before you ate with the pigs his love grabbed you. That is how much he loves you.
