The late re-known athlete Samuel Wanjiru was hit with a blunt object on his head resulting to his death in 2011 according to forensic pathologist Moses Njue who was testifying to an inquest to the death of Wanjiru where he also ruled out suicide stating that a third party was involved in the athletes death.

According to Njue, the assailant attacked him outside his house with a blunt metal object that shattered the back of the athlete’s skull shortly after he jumped off or was pushed from the balcony and may have died on impact.

In an inquest before Chief of Magistrate Hannah Ndung'u, Njue said, three different postmortem examination conducted on the body gave three different results urging the govt to carry out an investigation to establish the real cause of death.
