KPL defending champions Gor Mahia will play Sofapaka who were 2nd in the league on the DStv championship. The game that is played to launch officially a new season will be played at Nyayo Stadium on the 11th of this month. While announcing the game its official sponsors Supersport also announced that the winner of the match will take home Sh750,000 while the looser taking home Sh500,000.
At the same time there is a looming misunderstanding between FKF and KPL on the referees who will officiate the game.
As we wait for the biggest match in the country lets hope that FKF and KPL fights will not interfere with the match.
