START A BUSINESS FOR AS LITTLE AS KSHS 4000

Young adults fresh from colleges often find the outside challenging than they anticipated. There are just so many frustrations and disillusionment in the job market. You send so many applications that you have always wondered if anyone looks at them anyway. You wait and wait until all your patience is consumed. Then the words you heard during your glorious graduation ceremony start haunting you. Maybe, you reason, it was true one had better start their own business. You can get some money that comes after a great elapse of time. With that little money, you know you can begin a small business and be a job creator just as the Chancellor advised you. Nevertheless, you do not want something small; you want something that is already big. Do not be angry with God, you can try these small-business ideas. Who knows, they might be your highway to that big thing you have always wanted to be associated with.

Brick making- the Kenya construction sector is growing very fast. Bricks have a guaranteed market. You will incur the cost of site searching, buying a brick making machine and some labor of course. You would find it more profitable if you could locate a site near big towns to save on transport costs. However, with the fuel prices falling and roads connecting many parts of the country the transport costs may became less significant.

Popcorn business-this is yet another business that requires little capital and its returns are good. One has to be careful on choosing the location for this business. It success depends on how well situated it is. Examples of high traffic areas would be in shopping malls, supermarket outlets, and high traffic streets. You will require a popcorn machine, the popcorn seeds, and a vendor’s license.

Body-weight calculation business- a weighing machine will cost you less than Kshs 3000. You will need labor per machine and then select a high traffic location. This business does not require much certification or much skill in running it.

Day care center- with increasing gender sensitivity in Kenya, the number of working mothers has greatly increased. On the other hand, people are losing trust on house helps because of the terrible things they have proved to be capable of. You can take advantage of this and start a day care. you will have to work hard to win their trust as well. You will need a house, and then hire some nannies.

Online marketing- this requires that one be conversant with the internet and online marketing. You will need to have a website then you can contract with manufacturers whose product you feel is marketable online. For example, furniture manufactures can give you commission on furniture sold through your site.
There are more ideas online. I have here compiled the few that I feel most viable for business starters.
