As time changes while growing up, many of us change that kind of person we would want to emulate in life. Persons of business from our point of view appear to reap a lot from very little. Despite our passion for doing business, the percentage of those who succeed in business to those who fail in it is worrying. The Kenya Bureau of Statistics estimated in 2007 that 60% of business fail each year. You don't have to be among those who fail.Those who succeed have certain attributes that separate them from the rest. Luckily, these can be mastered with a least effort.Among the many attributes that you may come across in different readings, I find these three the most outstanding;

Perseverance- perseverance is the ability to go against all odds. It entails following up to completion a project you have begun despite all the setbacks that you may encounter. This is because at the beginning, that is, during the planning period, things appear so easy. With the exactness of series gear fitness, we expect our things to fit in a similar manner. Practically, there comes the delays, the workers are too careless, the government demands a relocation of the business, and many other setbacks may leave us hopeless. Without perseverance, you will easily let go, with perseverance, you will sail through the storm after which comes a peaceful day conducive for fishing.

Planning-how successful a plan may be depends on the accuracy of the planner in predicting variables.  In addition, in the planning period one is able to link different operations so that the order in which they should be implemented surfaces. Further, a good plan that is biased neither to the strengths nor to the weaknesses will prepare the planner psychologically so that no threat finds them unaware. A good plan is based on good research of the area of interest. The internet facilitates easy research in the current age. More importantly however, what matters is not the beauty of the plan but the willingness and readiness to sacrifice rationally to see the objectives of the plan achieved. Communication-communication hinges on how you pass relevant information to different stakeholders. As an entrepreneur, one ought to be able to communicate flexibly. Business has many parties who must trust the entrepreneur before engaging with them in any transaction. You will be required to talk to the bank and ask for a loan to finance a project probably. Whether the bank accepts your request will not only depend on the viability of the project but more on how convincingly you table the facts about the project. You have to make the financier believe that indeed the projects you want them to finance will payback their money. The same applies to all other parties you will interact with in business. Customers, workers, suppliers, and even partners will need your word of mouth that convinces them that your interest is their interest. Of course, in many occasions, you will have conflicting interests with different parties; you will then need to call upon your communication skills to make them believe your interest is their interest as well.
